The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and The Norwegian Peacebuilding Centre cordially invite you to a seminar on Brazil, an emerging power and a new key player in international relations; its aspirations, opportunities and challenges.
Tuesday 18 January 2011, 09.00 - 14.30 at Litteraturhuset, Wergelandsveien 29, Oslo.
The Norwegian Government is currently preparing its Brazil strategy, with the aim to consolidate and further enhance an already excellent relationship. The strategy, to be launched in March, will address areas such as economic relations, business and the private sector, climate and the environment, research and culture, as well as international political issues.
This seminar is part of an inclusive process leading up to this strategy. Different dimensions of Brazil's foreign policy will be explored: regional and international cooperation, Brazil's role in the established multilateral system and in fora such as the G20, the relationship with other emerging powers, and, of course its relationship with Norway.
