Noref Report 6 - U.S. Policy toward Latin America after the 5th Summit of the Americas

On May 11, 2009 NOREF and the Latin America Program of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars organized the seminar After the Summit: New Initiatives and Results from the 5th Summit of the Americas. This was the first meeting of an ongoing NOREF project to bring Latin American perspectives into discussions on issues of international importance.

Participants from Latin America, the US and Norway discussed hemispheric relations in the aftermath of the 5th Summit of the Americas, including new initiatives and strategies in the energy sector, as well as the role of civil society organizations, governments and multilateral institutions in facing major challenges.
